Mark Lynch
I firmly believe that as a society we must meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
I have a keen interest in sustainability and how individuals and organisations can become sustainable. In my work, I have driven sustainability with practical initiatives and, more importantly, by engaging members to take ownership of the sustainability agenda. To further my own knowledge, I am currently doing a post graduate course in Sustainable Business in Trinity College.
To engage with the community to promote sustainable actions, advocate for the improvement of public transport and work to maintain and improve our cultural and natural spaces.
Experience
I have been in Golf Club management for fifteen years, eleven of which was General Manager of Edmondstown Golf Club. In my work, I have driven sustainability with practical initiatives and, more importantly, by engaging members to take ownership of the sustainability agenda.
I have always been active in the community. I served as Chairperson of my Residents’ Management Company for seven years and I coach the under age team in Stillorgan Rathfarnham RFC. I joined the Green Party in 2020, attending regular meetings and events of the South Dublin County LEA group and became secretary of the Group in 2022.
