I will influence and challenge decisions in the bests interests of people and planet.

I believe in the strength of our communities to continue to develop safe, equitable, inclusive and naturally beautiful places to live, through good communication and collaboration.

My priorities

Transport

Our transport system must be well connected, accessible, affordable, and meet East Cork’s growing population. I will push for the continued development of our rail network and address gaps in bus services, including in rural areas. Safer roads requires better enforcement, essential infrastructure upgrades, and secure cycling and walking routes for all towns and villages.

Housing and Services

We need affordable housing, cost rental and a better mix of housing supply that meets the needs of a growing and aging population, with services like medical centers, childcare facilities, more mainstream and special schools, and community amenities built alongside. Dereliction must be tackled to revive our towns and villages and help solve the housing crisis.

Childcare

I will support families by pushing for continued investment to reduce childcare costs and move toward a publicly funded system. We need more childcare facilities and better pay and conditions to attract new talent to this essential service, which is vital for both equality and economic growth.

Protecting our community

I will push for urgent measures that are needed to protect our communities including flood management and sustainable development of our towns and villages. Development that improves the quality of life for all now and in the future while reducing pollution, preserving our natural resources and conserving biodiversity. East Cork is well-positioned economically to benefit from offshore renewable energy development.

Experience

I am a Project & Sustainable Business Consultant and mother of two from Cobh, Co. Cork. I want to bring my professional experience tackling complex business issues, and my firsthand understanding of the challenges our society faces through my community work, and my concerns as a parent, to drive meaningful progress in East Cork. My focus is on addressing the challenges we face today, while applying strategic thinking to ensure a safe, healthy, and thriving future for the next generation.
